Dr. Santrupt Misra is the Chief Executive Officer, Carbon Black Business and Director, Group Human Resources for the Aditya Birla Group. He has been with the Group for 18 years, of which he has been a member of the main Board, Aditya Birla Management Corporation Private Limited for 14 years.

Dr. Misra holds key positions in educational and professional bodies at the Aditya Birla Group. He is a Director on the Board of the Aditya Birla Science & Technology Company Limited, Alexandria Carbon Black Company SAE., Thai Carbon Black Public Company Limited, Indigold Carbon Mauritius and SKI Carbon Black (India) Private Limited.

Under his leadership as the Director Human Resources, the Group has developed a strong Employer Brand and has acquired laurels as the Best Employer of India in 2007. The Aditya Birla Group ranked 4th Globally and 1st in Asia Pacific in the Top Companies for Leaders 2011 study by Aon Hewitt, Fortune & RBL Group.

Dr. Misra has over 28 years of experience in Education, Training, Consulting and Executive Development and has had prior experience with the J.K. Group, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and Unilever, India.

He holds two postgraduate degrees - in Political Science and in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations. Dr. Misra has two PhDs, one from India and the other from the Aston Business School, U.K., in Public Administration and Industrial Relations respectively.
