Mr. Pramod Bhasin is the Founder and Vice Chairman for Genpact, formerly GE Capital International Services. He is considered the pioneer of the Business Process Management industry in India. Genpact is acknowledged today as the leader in its industry with over 65,000 employees across 17 countries and nearly $2b in revenues. It is also a public company listed on NYSE.
Mr. Bhasin's career with GE spanned 25 years across US, Europe and Asia. He became the head of GE Capital in India and Asia and has worked with GE Capital's Corporate Finance Group in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. During this tenure he built joint ventures with HDFC in consumer finance, State Bank of India for credit cards and Maruti for auto finance.
He is a member of the advisory boards for NDTV, Bank of India, DLF Limited, SRF Limited and governing boards for Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, Lady Shri Ram College
and Shri Ram School. He has been the Chairman
of India's National Association of Software & Services Companies.
Mr. Bhasin is currently working to build 'The Skills Academy', a pioneering institute to enhance employability, especially for people in the unorganized sector.
He is a UK Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce degree from Delhi University.
He was voted 'IT Man of the Year' by Dataquest
in 2009.
