Aon Hewitt Pensions Administration Survey 2015/16
The latest Aon Pensions Administration Survey paints an interesting picture of today’s administration landscape.
Covering responses from more than 240 sponsors and trustees, it provides a comprehensive view of administration practices, challenges and solutions as we head into 2016.
- Cost remains a key driving force for pensions administration decisions, and a major inhibitor when it comes to delivering on priority projects.
- While schemes are clear on their immediate priorities, a limited budget may impact on their ability to deliver on these objectives.
- Almost half of schemes want their administration provider to be able to deliver a broader, integrated offering covering other pension services, although many are not currently experiencing this.
- External pressures, such as the need for GMP reconciliations, and the challenges of the new pensions freedoms, are taking up scheme time and resource.
With such a lot to focus on, schemes and their administrators have plenty to think about when it comes to administration practice and priorities.
The survey findings – supported by analysis and best practice suggestions from Aon experts – make invaluable reading for anyone involved in pensions administration.
