Thomas Overtveld has been in the captive management industry since 2000. In addition to his captive assignments, he successfully set up and introduced guarantee insurer Solid Försäkring to the Swiss market in 2001. In 2006, he was appointed as head of Aon Insurance Managers Switzerland and Liechtenstein operations and currently also serves as a legal representative of branch offices and as a board member for several captives of our international clients.

He started his insurance career in 1982 as a facultative property underwriter with Swiss Re. In 1985, he joined Winterthur Re as an Assistant Vice President and 6 years later was promoted to European Property Manager.

In 1994, as Managing Director he successfully established the Swiss branch of the reinsurer CNA Re Ltd., London, from the beginning and developed it further. By 2000 the Swiss branch had 23 employees with a field of specialization in property and liability insurance as well as in credit and surety insurance
