Congress Passes the CARES Act
Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act (H.R. 748) by voice vote on March 27, 2020. President Trump is expected to sign the bill into law.
While the CARES Act focuses on workers, economic stabilization, and the health care system, it includes several provisions relating to employers and their group health plans.
