House Approves “Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act”; Moves to Senate
On June 7, 2018, the House passed with a 210–206 vote the “Spending Cuts to Expired and Unnecessary Programs Act” (H.R. 3). The bill includes a package of $15 billion in proposed rescissions of federal funds. The bill moves to the Senate for consideration, where its passage is uncertain.
