UAE Unemployment Insurance Scheme 2023

The UAE will be rolling out a nationwide Unemployment Insurance Scheme, starting from the 1st of January 2023. The Unemployment Insurance scheme offers cash compensation support for a limited period of time to employees in the event of unemployment and has been designed to enhance the UAE’s economy and provide protection to its people.

This scheme will be manditory to all employees within:

• Private Sector
• Federal Government 
• Freezones (Exclusion may apply, please refer to your Freezone Authority for confirmation)
• Semi-Government Entities 

Employees may subscribe to the scheme via the ILOE Insurance Pool Website or the app on mobiles. Other authorised channels are also available such as Al Ansari Exchanges, Tawjeeh & Tasheel, Etisalat (coming soon), Kiosks and selected bank apps.
