Shamita is a HR and Rewards specialist, with 20+ years of experience in design and execution of diverse people management frameworks. She has also had experience in managing businesses with revenue and profitability responsibilities, as part of consulting organizations. She also manages global governance and large change programs in her current role at Infosys. As Senior Vice President - HRD, Infosys Group she is responsible for Compensation, Benefits, HR Operations and HR Compliance for Infosys' 187,000 strong employee base across 90 countries across the globe.

She and her team have successfully integrated several acquired entities of the group, and manages cross -cultural teams, in an organization that is quickly transforming itself for the new digital era. Having spent most of her 22 years in the IT industry in Bangalore, she also built a number of start-up HR functions in the early part of her career. She has a graduate degree in Mathematical Statistics from Lady Shri Ram college, and an MBA in HR from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
