Organisational changes increase resources of Aon’s Global Reinsurance Clients team
LONDON (16 May 2019) – Aon plc (NYSE:AON), a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, today announces organisational changes within its Global Reinsurance Clients team. The team, part of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business, was launched in 2014 to ensure that the firm consistently delivers the full scope of its global resources to its largest and most complex clients.
The team currently supports 25 of the largest global insurers, providing a differentiated service to accelerate their growth, profitability and ensure their operational stability. To date, the team has been successfully co-led by Brad Melvin and Bruce Selby Bennett, and they have established a centre of excellence that provides fact-based benchmarking which leverages Aon’s scale and uses cutting edge analytics to deliver unmatched advice to clients.
The organisational changes, effective immediately, see Brad Melvin appointed to a leadership position within Aon where he will be working with regional property and casualty insurers on growth, profitability and other emerging issues. Brad will continue to work closely with Reinsurance Solutions and his existing reinsurance clients and prospects. He will report to Michael Moran, CEO of Aon Inpoint and Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business.
Furthermore, Bruce Selby Bennett remains the leader of Global Reinsurance Clients and is promoted to Chairman of its new executive team, reporting to Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business. The executive team has been created to lead coordinated client strategies across the firm and ensure alignment and integration across the firm’s teams and regions. This team comprises James Buchannan, Jeremy Goodman, Frank Hand, Andrew Laing, Andrew Secker and Meredith Swisha.
Paul Martin will remain Operations Director of the Global Reinsurance Clients team and he will further support the team’s development and implementation of ongoing strategies.
Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business, commented: “We are increasing our investment in the Global Reinsurance Clients function, which represents a very important segment of our business. By delivering even greater resources, as evidenced by the quality of the new executive team, we will bring increased value to clients utilizing services, products and capabilities across the scope of Aon’s global business.”
Bruce Selby Bennett, Chairman of Global Reinsurance Clients, added: “Since its inception five years ago, the Global Reinsurance Clients team has enjoyed impressive growth and success. The increased investment we have made through assembling a group of executive team senior leaders enables us to align and integrate with the wider firm and deliver even more value to clients.”
