Flight Plan

A flight plan is a statement of the target timescale and financing strategy to meet the long-term target.

The financing strategy will cover both contributions and the investment strategy and will take into account the likelihood of meeting the funding objective.

Key variables to consider aside from the target itself are:

• The investment strategy
• Deficit contributions
• The timescale and the nature of any de-risking triggers

The flight plans aim is to make the path to the objective more certain. The plan will often include funding level triggers.
