Aon names Kris Karlsson as head of M&A and Transaction Solutions, Pacific

SYDNEY, Feb. 5 2025 - Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, has appointed Kris Karlsson as head of M&A and Transaction Solutions, Pacific, effective immediately. He will be based in Sydney and report to Eden Fletcher, head of specialty solutions, Australia.

Karlsson brings more than 20 years of experience advising Australian and multinational companies on strategy, capital markets and mergers and acquisitions across Asia Pacific and U.S.

“Kris’ extensive experience and acumen will be instrumental in driving our M&A and Transaction Solutions strategy forward,” said Fletcher. “We anticipate a robust M&A environment in 2025 and believe Kris’ leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and execute our M&A strategy to support our clients. Karlsson joins Aon from container terminal operator, DP World, where he was vice president of corporate development overseeing major capital projects and M&A in the Asia-Pacific region. He has previous experience working with boutique investment banking firms as well as PwC and the Commonwealth Bank and has led transactions spanning multiple sectors including technology, health, consumer, business services, infrastructure, and financial services.
