The Design & Construction Firm practice is a collaborative global team for our design and project professional clients. We provide specialized insurance brokerage and risk advisory services to architects, engineers, surveyors, project/construction managers and other design professionals (including design and build contractors).

Our team acts globally because we recognize that whether our clients in the construction industry pursue and carry out work overseas, or are locally focused, and Aon needs to be able to respond to issues affecting our clients on a local or global level. Our global platform allows us to bring insurance solutions, markets and new sources of capital from anywhere in the world to our clients.

Our team combines industry, subject matter and geographical experience. Through our understanding of the impact of change in the construction industry, we support our clients' strategic objectives domestically and globally. This cohesive approach means we can identify trends, determine strategies and mitigate loss to secure the best solution for our clients.

Core team members are based in Canada, the US and the UK. In addition, our Australian colleagues have established a center of excellence in Brisbane that wholesales risks into the London market.

A key differentiator is the work we carry out in relation to the various insurance strategies for large complex projects. We have experience with (and can advise on) P3, integrated project delivery, and alliance contracting in addition to the more commonly seen design-build, and design-bid-build project delivery models.
