Aon’s proposed acquisition of Global Insurance Brokers receives regulatory approval in India
MUMBAI (27 February 2024) – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced that the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has approved Aon’s acquisition of Global Insurance Brokers (GIB).
The transaction, which was announced in October 2023, remains subject to customary closing conditions.
Aon and GIB will continue to operate independently until the transaction is completed, which is expected in the coming months.
