Aon Names Lee Huang Ng as Head of Taiwan
HONG KONG (5 February 2025) –
Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, today announced Lee Huang Ng as head of Taiwan, effective 1 April subject to regulatory approval from Taiwan Financial Supervisory Commission. Reporting to Qin Lu, head of Greater China for Aon, Ng will be based in Taipei and will relocate to the city in the coming months. She succeeds Ernest Leung, who led Aon in Taiwan previously and is now the head of Hong Kong for Aon.
Commenting on the promotion, Lu said, "Taiwan is a vital market for our Greater China region. Lee Huang is a proven leader with exceptional experience and expertise. She is a dedicated partner and collaborator, having worked extensively with local and regional teams to help clients make better decisions and enhance service excellence. I am confident in her ability to drive growth and success for our clients in Taiwan.”
“I also would like to take this opportunity to thank Ernest Leung. Ernest has been instrumental in building the Aon portfolio and the team in Taiwan. We have made tremendous growth under his leadership. Now, with Ernest moving forward to lead Hong Kong, I am confident he along with the Hong Kong team will make significant progress in continuing to build innovative and scalable solutions for our clients. This change of leadership is a good example of Aon's focus on developing talent and creating opportunities for our colleagues and clients,” added Lu.
Ng brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since joining Aon in 2014, Ng has played a pivotal role in driving broking excellence for Aon in Singapore. She has led a team within the Aon Global Client Network and served most recently as chief broking officer and head of claims for Aon in Singapore. Her responsibilities at Aon included formulating broking and claims strategies for multinational companies, driving operational excellence and ensuring service governance. Prior to joining Aon, Ng worked at Marsh & McLennan and Jardine Lloyd Thompson in claims and service delivery roles. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving the business strategies and growth for Aon in Taiwan, spanning across both risk capital and human capital capabilities.
“I am excited for the opportunity to work with the talented and experienced Taiwan team and look forward to growing Aon’s presence and collaboration with clients in the country,” said Ng. “We have a significant opportunity to leverage Aon’s global expertise and state-of-the-art analytics to help clients navigate the region’s rapidly changing and interconnected challenges.”
