The Link Between ESG and Talent
Our research shows that a growing share of employees want to know what a company stands for and how its actions align with its values1.
Millennials and Generation Z, who will make up 58% of the global workforce by 2030, are particularly focussed on environmental and social concerns2 , with a recent
study revealing 30% of survey respondents - and 45% of respondents between and 18 and 24 years old - had researched a company's ESG credentials while job hunting. These findings demonstrate the important role ESG can play in attracting talent and explain why organisations are working hard to align their ESG strategy and performance with evolving employee expectations, especially among younger workers.
From addressing the “protection gap” for climate disasters to creating healthy, more diverse, equitable, inclusive and resilient workplaces that drive positive change, Aon helps organisations make better
ESG decisions when navigating a complex business landscape.
Therefore, it’s important for organisations to learn from peers, clearly demonstrate their ESG commitment and initiatives, and continually set new performance benchmarks that advance their own and industry best practices.
