Business Package - Incorporated Entities

This program is sponsored by the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC) and provided through Aon Risk Services. It is specially designed for you, and as part of a group program extends significant savings to you. In order to obtain business insurance coverage, you need to contact Aon directly.

Basic option

This program provides coverage for loss or damage to your business assets, such as massage tables, other equipment and loss of business income due to a covered claim. Because you are a member of the NHPC, you are eligible for this at discounted rates.

Property coverage

$30,000 - $100,000 of coverage for office contents of every description (increased limits available upon request)
$100,000 business income/extra expense
All risk, including sewer back-up, flood and property in transit
Accounts receivable
$30,000 - $100,000 equipment breakdown

Crime coverage

$25,000 employee dishonesty
$10,000 broad form money and securities
$10,000 depositors forgery
$10,000 counterfeit currency and money orders
$10,000 computer fraud & funds transfer

Liability

Owning a business can be very rewarding, but it's not without its challenges, and your insurance coverage shouldn't be one of them. As a member of the NHPC, you enjoy broad coverage for medical malpractice liability and if purchased, general liability for your activities as an individual. This means that if you operate under another name, entity, partnership or corporation activities under that name require their own policy.

Example: As a member of the NHPC, Mary chose the medical malpractice liability coverage with commercial general liability. Mary has incorporated her business under "Smith Wellness Centre Inc.". A visitor to the office, whether it be a client, mail carrier or anyone else, fell on the carpet and sued Smith Wellness Centre Inc. Without the business policy, all of the liability would fall on Mary Smith - the individual. Mary's personal policy would not respond because Mary Smith is not being sued. Ultimately, Mary would be paying for the legal fees and damages out of her own pocket.

Limit options of $3,000,000 or $5,000,000

The program is backed by Lloyds' of London, one of the most respected and stable insurance providers in the world. Lloyds' is an insurance industry leader and has an S&P rating of A+ and is rated A (excellent) by A.M. Best.
