Inclusion and Wellbeing

Inclusion and Wellbeing

Delivering better decisions through inclusion and wellbeing.

We believe inclusive teams create better insights and solutions, deliver the best outcomes for clients and are vital to ensuring our long-term success.

Colleagues can achieve their professional potential when they feel a sense of belonging and are free to bring their authentic selves to work.

We are dedicated to ensuring our workforce is representative of the communities in which we operate.

Colleague wellbeing is a cornerstone and strong value at Aon. Colleagues are supported with wellbeing initiatives and resources.

Our Commitment to Inclusion and Wellbeing

We’ve embedded a commitment to I&W throughout our organization, starting at the top with our Board of Directors’ Inclusion and Wellbeing Sub-Committee. Within the firm, our Global Inclusive Leadership Council (GILC) leads our strategy and aligns leaders across our firm to work on our four pillars: education, promotion, recruitment and representation. From the GILC, responsibility cascades to regional and local councils and the business resource groups. Every Aon colleague is encouraged and empowered to practice inclusion on an individual level.

Inclusion and Wellbeing Focus Areas

Our Global Inclusive Leadership Council (GILC) has identified the focus areas below to ensure we are building an inclusive workforce with a breadth of perspective. At the same time, we continuously enhance our inclusive and wellness culture, creating an environment where colleagues feel a sense of belonging.

Education

Educate, Train and Model Inclusion

We make inclusion training available for colleagues across the firm. People leaders participate in inclusive leadership programs to help them develop their inclusive leadership, hiring and recruiting skills. We also encourage our business resource groups to host education sessions, enabling colleagues to build their cultural competence and become better allies.

Promotion

Enable All Colleagues to Have Equal Access to Roles and Opportunities

Through a focus on our career development and promotion programs, we’re committed to ensuring that all colleagues have equal access to roles, opportunities and sponsorship.

Recruitment

We’re committed to enhancing our inclusive hiring practices to attract and recruit talented individuals from a variety of backgrounds, bringing more varied experiences and mindsets to our business.

People Diversity

Representation

Ensure Aon Colleagues Reflect the Community at All Levels Within the Organization

We are focused on being a firm that is representative of the communities in which we operate. We hold our global, regional and local teams accountable to helping us drive towards this aim.

Responsible Sourcing

Economic inclusion is an important element of Aon’s overall commitment to building a more equitable, sustainable and resilient firm.

Aon Diversity Solutions (ADS) empowers small and diverse-owned businesses to play a greater role within the global economy, supporting job creation, competitiveness, individual wealth and vibrancy in local communities.

We are committed to developing valuable relationships with businesses that are owned by minorities, women, LGBTQ people, veterans, people who are disabled or differently abled, small businesses and businesses in historically underutilized business zones. We also provide opportunities for suppliers that can offer quality, innovative, competitive and cost-effective products and services.
