Insurance concepts for your specific requirements
Whether it's temperature fluctuations, failure of refrigeration systems, accidents caused by rough seas or delays - the damage that occurs during international transport can jeopardise the success of your business.
Aon cover includes much more than just standard all risks cover, which does include critical standard exclusions such as spoilage and delay. Our cover is more far-reaching and takes into account important aspects along the entire supply chain, which in the current climate is highly susceptible to disruption and can quickly have a negative impact on perishable goods.
Our global network guarantees optimum cover for your company.
With Aon teams based in Germany and in all major export and import countries and a worldwide network of experts, we offer you swift assistance wherever you are.

Temperature damage
We offer insurance cover for damage caused by a malfunction of the refrigeration system, failure of the refrigerated container, excessive temperature fluctuations during transport, incorrect settings of the temperature-regulating unit by third parties and incorrect ventilation settings, which can lead to damage to the goods for certain products. |
Malfunction of the controlled atmosphere (CA system)
Damage caused by interruption or malfunction of the controlled atmosphere is insurable. |
Delays
Aon offers insurance cover against damage to the goods due to delays during the insured transit (warehouse-to-warehouse), the pre-carriage and on-carriage are included in the cover concept. |
Market losses
The goods arrive at their destination in good condition and without any damage - however, market price fluctuations in the country of destination can result in a high market loss. |
Cold treatment failure
Aon offers insurance cover for damage caused by non-compliance with official cold treatment regulations. This disruption prevents or delays the import, as the cooling procedure has to be repeated. The insurance covers any damage caused by the delayed delivery of the goods or by the sale and transport to a third country, including the additional costs incurred for additional refrigeration, storage or onward transport. |
